New car :)

Well, after a 14 month love affair with my Nissan X-Trail GT, it has finally left for its new home in Sydney, NSW, Australia :( I know it has gone to a good home, as my uncle bought it so atleast it will stay in the family(and have someone who knows the car if it ever breaks down on him)

So with a decent sale price, I managed to buy myself a new car and have enough money for my girlfriend to upgrade her car in the next few weeks(looking at Mitsu EVO's at moment)

Anyway, I bought a Holden Commodore Ute, which is basically a lot like the Vauxhall VXR(think that is what it is called over there) Coupe(aka Holden Monaro/Pontiac GTO) but it is a ute so I can carry all of my work tools in it :D

The car is basically identical to these pics:

Got a dual 2.5" exhaust, metal biscuit catalytic converters and 4-1 extractors on order and should be fitted this friday :) Once done, I will post up some pics of my car :)

Future plans are a bolt-on Eaton HH112 Supercharger kit :D

thats rather sexual.
and that x-trail is rather pimpin' with those wheels on it, lol.

they're called vauxhall monaro's over here, think we might get the holdens too. VXR's are just a range of vauxhalls which have been "souped" up and which look rather nice too IMO.

Will miss your X-Trail, wish i had something to keep up with it haha, will you be sticking around on the forum then?

That ute looks huge

kieran: I ended up fitting R34 GTR rims as the 20's were just too heavy 35Lbs a rim + tyre is insane! Miss the GT so much already, love the rush of power it had :D Although, the 5.7L V8 certainly has so grunt when there is no weight over the rear wheels ;)
Going from 250+Kw@wheels to around 200Kw@wheels is a hard feeling.

That explains the VXR thing then, we actually just started getting the Astra VXR recently over here.

K33 ELV: Yes, I will be sticking around. I still have my N14 Pulsar which is nearly completed after a long restoration job. Love my Nissans but got the ute as a tax deduction for work ;)

class mate i lOVE these cars..friend of mine brought one in from OZ..gold with 20's ss model...it runs 450bhp ..without the NOS!! tyre shredding madness..the v8 roar is unbeatable.

Loving your Nissan and Ute!!! My dad was over in Aus and these UTE's are only like £12-£14k new for like the standard model I think but even then you get a V6 or something!? Ain't very clued up on them all I know is there sexy as hell and cheap, wish we could get them over here :( My uncle bought 5 of these for his employee's cars, lol!

ah dude that is awesome, if i won the lotto i would buy me some crazy machines like that, only in oz would you have somethin like that for work, over here we have ford transits and escorts and shit...

Wow...

What would you rather drive to work...

That ute is huge. Far too big for our roads.

Not really, there`s a red one round my way with a private plate, & is always immaculate (think it belongs to a valeting company).

Don`t know anything about it though, except it`s  & I want one! :P

So you would drive one into the city, on a saturday afternoon. And squezze through the little gaps people leave, when parked. It wouldn't even fit in a car park space(or two).

It's like it can't make it's mind up, what it want's to be, van, pickup, hatchback, sports car. Just too American looking for my liking.

The SS ute is around 15,000 pounds brand new and I picked this beauty up with 40,000 miles on it for 11,000 pounds with 19" rims and full leather interior. Got an absolute bargain ;)

Supercharger with intercooler is rated to around 600Hp@motor with a stock exhaust. We also have a twin GT35R turbo option available but the utes are tail happy enough without crazy amounts of power thru them ;)

Niiiice! Is the Commodore ute bigger than the Maloo?
About 5 inches longer behind the rear wheels for the tray but the wheelbase is identical. It is quite easy to park but I try to avoid parking next to anyone so far as black paint shows all the scratches/knocks.
My GT got hit in a carpark less than 3 weeks after I bought it, luckily they have plastic front guards so damage was minor

width 2046

length 5052

s class Merc-short wheel base model

width 2115

length 5079

Yeah. If a Monaro can be driven in this cuntry (which I'd gladly do if I had enough ££ to spare for the fuel bill!), so can these utes...and remember, "no replacement for displacement"! ;)
