I've never even done 122 in my 1.6 flat out downhill on a straight section of track.
i have.. when it was completely standard. as i bought it.
on the speedo or sat nav?
on sat nav it was showing 120, on speedo it was on 122-123
either way its still not a true figure, 122mph, ive never hit that in my 1.4, had mine at about 115mph on the clock, that was it, slight downhill and probably had a tail wind too, my twatnav tells me im doin 70 when im doing about 76/77 in both my sr20 powered cars

122 mph? best i got was 119 in my 1.4 and it had a lot more mods than you have at the moment. id be getting that speedo calibrated.
think rob had his at 130ish when he first got it
well iv sat in a gti that has done 140+ and know of one thats been upto 150+ so..

Wierdly the only car I ever wanted to see how fast it really went was the mondeo, but then it never did have a working speedo.
Not meaning to sound funny or anything but is your car running ok? It seems to be abit hesitant. Have you tried using some injector cleaner at all?
i got 110 from my 1.4, took me forever and included a downhill section, was standard apart from GTi centre section and janspeed backbox.
tommo's 1.4 i can believe would have reached a relatively impressive top speed, the GA's are restricted to hell, makes me wish i had modified mine a bit when i had it

i had my rents 1.8 lx with the zetec engine at appx 120. estate btw! then i blew a hole in the rad lol
Cars running fine. Its just when i hit the gas slowly i hear a noise from the engine. apart from that, all good.
I'll try some injector cleaner anyway..
