forgot to add i need new wheels no longer feeling the lensos.
car should be going to wallace performance ot have the cams and adjustable cam gear fitted in the coming months along with the afpr and a dastek unit and then mapped
looking at around 2 months time wanting to make sure everything is running fine and no more gremlins show up still need to fix the rocker cover leak change the CV joint. but ive been over to wallace already when i had it on the dyno, plus some mates in aberdeen have used them for years without any hassle.
lol yeah i know but as i said she has been sat in a farm yard for around 3 months without moving with tractors and shit going by and i mean shit literately
Well I've used them twice now & don't have any complaints so far . . . . Going back there soon for a mapping session as it looks like I finally have a set of 300cc injectors that will fit !
well tore everything out the back of the car today treated every bit of rust in sight cleaned it all down and attacked it with a can of hammerite black . phil has the pic he just needs to post em up
well here we go with the pics, for the age of the car it isn't bad at all rust wise, the only annoying thing about it was the o/s/r wheel arch which was obviously known about by a previous owner and had been bodged over, anyway on with the pics,
i didn't take any before pics of the o/s/r arch or any cleaned back pics of the n/s/r but i'll get more as we go along with the repair of them
this is one of the worst bits of the o/s/r arch, this is the bit that was bodged!!
also as willie posted above we stripped out the rear interior and had a look see what was there, there was some rot under the seam sealant at both sides plus some up beside the seatbelt mounts so this all got wirebrushed back to clean metal then treated with loctite extend. once this was done we then steam cleaned the whole boot area and then set about it with black hammerite. we will also be treating the parts we cant reach with waxoil and also undersealing the outside to complete the rustproofing process, i'll post more pics as we go along fixing the arches and painting etc but this is it for now, also apologies for the poor pics as i forgot the good camera and had to take these with the phone.
ok i'm just posting these on behalf of nistro, because i'm the only one who remembers to stop and take photos as we go lol, this is what he's been up to between helping me on the ve swap and some other things (like porting and polishing the inlet mani and plenum etc :shades: )
for me these look the dogs dangly bits, and i can't wait to see them on the car!
