Well patched up the shock absorber that was giving problems - dont know how long it will last - but will wait before i make the order for the Megans.

Will visit the Dyno later now that the pop charger is in place.

The way this thing is sucking air (+ the header) a re-tune is imminent
 
Dyno last night:

160hp, 129 ft-lb torque


now (b4 we start balming the parts) i'm almost certain they didnt cause the loss.


when i made 175, the Apexi RSM was reading 208ps.


a few weeks after that (including when I did 15.08), the Apexi was showing 172ps. I did pay much attention as I said the G-Sensor may have shifted.

Now after the header and filter, (b4 dyno) the RSM was reading 184ps - some gains.

So whether or not the Apexi RSM is correct it seem to be consistent.

What I did wrong was not to have dynoed just b4 header and filte change.

Tuner was on spot ans said that tune is fine, including air fuel ratio. he suggested a CR test.

It's been a while.

Well I still have my project.

I have un-installed the Greddy e-manage and now using a progarmmed ecu from Calum. It's programmed for the SR16 cams.

It feels ok. Revs to 8000rpm but noticed that it revs pass that while standing and in lower gears.

can anyone say why?

Also the Calum ecu doesnt engage vvl but I already used a vtec controller to do that. Both cams switch at 5100rpm.

A bit a delay since the guy had to order the collector and it's taking a while.



NEXT STEP: I will go full 3" with a Magnaflow 8x5 drum and no resonator. Yep, will be loud but I want to try that first. If it's really loud then I have a canister type resonator I can use.

Btw, it's mandrel bend piping. Bought 4 feet of straight pipe and 2 'U' bends

The collector is holding up my header.

So you will use a chipped ecu?

BTW, how do you get a 127whp motor to run 14.83? Was it a sr20de?

power to weight dude :) and i like to think i can drive good :lol: it was a DE, this weekend we will see if i can break into the 13's

i have a piggyback system which adjusts fuelling etc, similar to the e-manage, but they didnt raise the rev limit because i didnt ask for it to be raised

You ran 14.83 with a 127hp SR20de in what chassis? Can you tell me the set up?

Also what time have you done in your 171hp 20ve?
