Bit off topic, but what's the Mi like on juice?

No idea. The fuel gauge in the 205 is so dodgy the low level llight can flick on and you could have 10 litres or 1 litre left. Go round right handers it fills up, left handers it magically empties, and it's then random how much you can put in when you fill up so I've never totally accurately calculated it TBH.

It's more economical than the 8v for sure, Im guessing around 30/31 ish

You can't really compare your 'mileage from a tank' to GTI's fella, a GTi has roughly a 45litre tank and yours is roughly 30litres...sounds like you've been doing about the same mileage out of a tank as a GTi does...but you've been doing it on 15 litres less petrol!

All N15s have the same size tank ;)

The gauge is off if the tank is full with £30 in it. The most I ever got in my P10 was 59.5 litres and that cost me £60

Oh and I dunno about my MPG. I put fuel in and when I need ore I put more in :P

I ran out on Monday though. I drove to work with the light on and thought I better get some when I finish...I finished work and reversed out of the parking space and the engine died! I only just made it there

I had to borrow a can and go for a walk to the petrol station. I put £4 in and the light was still on so I put another £30 in when I got home.

I did about 250 miles on £30 upto it running out. Which is 36mpg according to that calc but I obviously used more than was in it to start with :P

Lol people need a website to calculate MPG??

It's fairly simple:

Fill up.
Reset odometer trip.
Drive until fill up again.
Note how much petrol goes in and look at mileage.
Amount divided by 4.45 = amount in gallons
Mileage divided by number of gallons = MPG.

Dead simple.

hmm strange, I have no idea what size tank different cars have, so was going off the previous calcs. Maybe you should get your car looked at then Ballam  but like mark says, if the tank is full with £30 from empty, something's not right...

It may be marginely more than £30, but I use an estimate of £7.50 per quarter when i'm filling, at most it may be about £35 to fill it up... which is strange if its a 45L tank

how much does everyone elses cost?

I've got a biggest cost of £47.11 whic was 50.27 litres,

I'm quite sad and log all my fill ups and miles in a spredsheet.

My Almera is really heavy on fuel at the mo, no fair.

I do have a hole in the exhaust at the mo though, going to replace the plugs and leads over the weekend to see if that helps.

on a motorway drive used to get 42mpg out of my gti, with induction kit, and exhaust on 17's :-)

in my 205 mi16 on twin webers i reckon about 10-12 mpg...yes, its that bad. lol (but it is fast as fook)
