Well, today i put the standard air box back on the car with the same K&N pannel filter that was in it before. Wasn't really sure what the differance was going to be compared to the Pipercross foam filter that i had.
First off it didn't seem to pick up early in the rev range as much and i was suprised but after 30 minutes or so it definatley increased performance around 2000 rpm to 4000.
Obviously i'm missing the growl that an induction kit bought but for the sake of an experiment and with the thought that it might just be better in these summer months i'm keeping it on.
I tried to fit the standard air feed but it wasn't quite exact and it seemed a bit restrictive so i took it off, it's getting an extra lump of cold air from the Suteki vent so i'm confident enough cold air is getting to where it should.
