Sr20ve/ Sr20de- Port matching for Gtir Manifold

Thanks for the input guys...

Okay so will get it port matched.
Just put my gtir manifold and an oem sr20ve manifold i have side by side. Just very, very mimimal differences. But you can just about tell some of the sr20ve manifold bolt holes are wider/ longer. So I could actually draw a template to re drill from using each port section. Or as Sim said weld up the existing port holes first then re drill.

Thanks

Some more info I found just for reference...

1. Have you done the work required to port match the GTi-R exhaust manifold to the VE head?

2. The GTi-R manifold does not line up with the VE head exhaust ports very well at all. The bolt holes for mounting need to be slotted a good 1/4" or more to line things up and you need to make sure to bolt it down snug without letting it fall.

3. The GTIR manifold not mated properly to the head im sure is killing it too and just for the simple fact that the ve's do not like small turbos.
If your going to use the small turbo I suggest you do all you can to make it as efficient as possible. Meaning 3" downpipe, port matched to the head and so on.

4. My guess would be that you could get the ports on the manifold welded and then port match the manifold to the head

But you have turbo'd a sunny gti before so you must know what's required...

No it was just a straight Gti-r engine swap in the Sunny Gti.
So didn't have to worry about port matching, drilling block, compression woes etc.. Just had to swap engine, then custom flywheel.
