As my 'mera has done a good few miles now the above engine has seriously low mileage and came around for the right price ;).
I've been speaking to a few people prior to buying it and now would like some help/advice as its now sitting comfortably in my dad's garage.
As it's an autech and a highport sr20 is it going to be possible to mate the engine loom and Ecu to the interior loom on a ph2 Uk Gti?
Any pinout/wiring diagrams will all be well recieved.
As will any advice on whether i have to bypass or remove the nats because this doesn't have it

Thanks in advance

Stu-e

thought about this loads last night i think an egt engine loom diagram is needed pal then it should i say should lol be an easy job getting it working give me a call in about half hour on my house phone and will speak to you about it

Im gonna be doing pretty much the same thing, just the other way round lol.

Gonna be putting Phase 2 Engine/Loom into a Non-Nats Car.

Should be fun! Keep me posted if you come across anything, and i'll do the same!

Good buy bud

Yep, eGT, which is the same as what you've got.

To be honest bud, i don't think you'll have much issues really, as my problem is getting a N15 Loom working with a non-n15 ECU. And messing about with the interior loom, where as you've only got the interior loom to worry about? :)

Good luck in the build, I am sure the Sunny Gti is more or less the same set up.
What's the plan on this?

Back on topic.

This is off a Sunny Gti SR20DE-Highport, which I believe is the same as above.

Cheers guys well for now just get all the info i need to make it work, unfortunately i can't have the car off the road for very long so don't want to jump in without research.

As for the plans just getting it installed and all working then i'll think about mods
I'm going to change the pulleys possibly for lightweight ones? and all the belts while its out the car just for piece of mind and easiness.

theres not alot I would bother doing TBH,

Change the belts, swap the pulleys Change the seal at the same time, change the hydraulic lifters for ones from a roller rocker GTi engine, new chain tensioner, the two rubber coolant hoses on the back of the engine too, remove the top chain guide.

with breathing mods it will certainly do you proud.

I've already bought tensioner and will my apexi filter work ok?

Serious noob question where are the hydraulic lifters? and why put roller rockers ones on?

Cheers rich we'll sort that when we're ready.

Damo so did you just leave all the nats in the car and still worked (apart from the old ecu anyway)?

Nats in on the ECU, so if you change that it wont have NATS. nothing else will stop it starting.

i cant see this being much harder than a 2.0 swap like spyke used a phase 2 interior and phase 1 engine loom. using an egt wiring diagram and pinout swap a few pins round and it should be all go
