Stu-E's GTi

There were some awesome looking roads this morning after work so thought I'd pull up for a few pics,

Unfortunately as i was completeley covered in grease no fitted pics were taken, the trailing arm bushes did push in by hand but only just lol a really nice tight fit now. Mid way through the 'tubbs Simcard noticed i had some serious body roll so I either need to get the coilies resealed or think about some new ones.
Also next up is tackling the wishbone bushes, not sure if i should buy new then i know it's all good.

the suspension dampeners don't actually control/stop body roll, spring rate and chassis stiffness does. also have you done a bounce test to check the dampeners are fooked?

yes they do, set the damper to soft and the damper rod pushes in easily, set it hard and its much harder to push in and out, plus, when i set my coilovers to soft there is a decent amount of bodyroll, set it hard and the car is flat round the bends.

From the stories of customer service for Daiyama you may struggle, i think ross set Ksport dampers are straight swap, $220 for a pair plus 150 shipping, crazy, cheaper to get second hand BCs.

Iirc replacement dampers for daiyamas were about 55 quid each delivered. But id recommend getting bc's stu. Those dampers on your shocks are about 18 month old, says a lot for quality... They rust and bind real easy too.

no they don't, adjusting the dampening only slows the time to total body roll for x amount of pressure, it doesn't increase the needed pressure to get there.

stronger springs/more preload, an anti roll bar/bigger anti roll bar, strut brace or other chassis stiffening mods reduce body roll.

To be honest I can see your point but also it's not like it's going to take 5 minutes to get round a bend where the roll would eventually show up. So in a way stiff dampers do reduce body roll if you see where I'm coming from
