Swap My VZR for an EK4 SiR???

@Shiney Blue: The database i saw it listed on had it marked as an N1. Even had VZ-R N1 written on the auction sheet. How does the N1 that you have compare to the blue top VZ-R?

auction sheet was listed as N1.. but the USS Auction company site that was auctioning it didnt record it online as an N1... you had to recognise it to then go find the sheet to confirm it...

umm... my redtop N1 is white.. has no foglights.. and my bluetops are black and blue...

thats about as much detail as i can give you... My agent is the only one in the country to have driven the N1 and he hasn't driven the bluetops.. He did however say that the n1 pulled awesomely.. and he's used to driving skylines, 2JZ aristos and other turbos so its enough response to tantalise my tastebuds.

gotta find it first.. cos i've never seen any of them!! bloody government.. :wall: :wall:

Why get another one if you've got 3 but the same time don't have them! How long until you can register them in Australia?

well.. bought the first one in may

the first 'test' car is sitting waiting for the government come to approve it.. It was supposed to be september finish.. then got pushed to november.. then december.. now the latest news is prolly after christmas...

so.. who bloody knows!!

I've always wanted a black N1... so at this stage I've bought a black VZ-R to drive daily.. and a white N1 to strip out and race in events.... If I was to buy a black N1 I'd sell both of them and have some money again instead of being poor!!

If you happen to get this Black N1 would you be interested in sticking the White N1 on a boat to Ireland? How much would you be looking for it? What year is it? Also the normal Blue Pulsar, what kind of money and what is the spec?

Any pictures of them?

would be too costly to send it ireland bound... the costs getting it into australia are ridiculous... i've paid almost the same i bought the car for getting it here...

here's the cars..

p.s. sorry for the thread hijack!! was unintentional!

I don't believe this.

I missed out on your Blue Pulsar also. Fell in love with it when I saw it at auction! You owe me this N1 after taking the blue Pulsar from me, lol!!

Shipping to Ireland from Japan is in the region of US$750, must be seriously expensive to Australia if it was the price of the car!

ahahaaha... they reckon the blue one is the nicest of all!! ;)

well ric_tt bought the lucino N1 that i was about 5 mins too late calling up for!!

we pay
~US$800 shipping
10% purchase price import duty
10% purchase price + shipping GST
~$2500 Compliance for registration
+ broker/agent fees
+ new tyres/parts needed for compliancing
+ internal transport

hence the ridiculous costs..

I also missed out on the White Lucino and was told by my contact in Japan that it went for less than my budget!

Our system in Ireland is similar:
we pay
~US$750 shipping
10% import duty on purchase price and shipping
21% of above for VAT
~$1000 registration
+ broker/agent fees
+ internal transport

hence the ridiculous costs..

sounds like my conversation with Japan...

"oh yes.. just bringing it up now..... oh bugger.. it sold a few mins ago"
me: "oh shit..."
"don't worry... it prolly went for more than what you would've wanted to pay... how much would you have put on it"
me: "bout 650K"
"oh... it went for 615K........ sorry"

lets just say i was an angry puppy that afternoon... and i happened to be in my car.. my poor GA16 copped the thrashing of its life!!

what was worse about it is that I had messages on msn warning me about it and i didnt see them til to late cos I raced out without checking them!!!!!

but in retrospect that white lucino N1 had some interior issues and probably wasn't the best example... nice wheels though :D

I've got some lucino lights, lucino grille and momo steering wheel ready to go into my car when it arrives anyway!! Along with everything else i've stockpiled..

Just questioned him on the Hondata ECU. He tells me its just an S100 chip and not a full ECU. Reckon he's telling porkies. Think the car only has a Spoon N1 axle back exhaust also!

still, a spoon back box is one of the best you can buy and theyre a few hundred quid alone, and the chip is uberdata then? still ok, and remapable your self for the cost of a laptop(cheapist one you can find), wide band(180-250 depending) and a chip burner(30 quid) and the programs free

get some cams, springs and retainers, few bits and bobs, 200bhp there

That is nearly the exact conversation I had. Was willing to pay 650000-700000 yen!

We could possible be living the very same lives just on the opposite side of the world. You could be my "doppleganger"!

The standard centre section has been kept for back pressure. Man that owns it is a mechanic. The Hondata ECU thing seems to check out. its a S200 chip, which when i googled it is like a seperate box that attaches to the ECU.

The n1 looks the best.

But given a choice i`d buy neither, if i just wanted out and speed and handling I`d throw a couple of grand at a GTi instead.

There is an insurance company giving good discounts for cars that are 1600cc or less here in Ireland. Thats the main reason i'm sticking with a 1.6L. Our insurance industry does not give cars groupings the same way as the UK. Its primarialy based on the cc of the car!
