Teach me the art of "blow over" :)

Another question. I'm lending a paint gun this weekend so i'm hoping to have a crack at spraying it next week...

I wondered, am i supposed to do a light layer of white, wait for it to become tacky then apply a good solid layer? I heard this helps to stop paint runs.

Also is it start at the bottom and work up or the other way round.

When using filler, do i have to go back to bare metal or is a relatively good key ok? Then is it a case of some etching primer over the filler?

dont need to - just even coats no need to do it heavy just build upa couple of even coats!

again doesnt matter! as the spray fan should cover half the layer line prior

a good key! but sometimes can help going back to metal if you can - and yes primer

i think its illegal to use 2pak without proper air treatment plant as its environmentally toxic as well as health toxic

Why dont you just pay me and ill do it :P

if you prep it all so i basically just have to give it a quick wipe down and spray.

as you will know if you have priced your paint up to give it a blow over your still looking at around £80 for your paint hardner etc -

sort the bits you need - filler what you need etc! then leave it with me for a cpl of days along with £120 and you can take it back home 3 days later!

yeah you need filtration systems and extractors for it!

Deal. Would i be able to prep it all at yours or am i best to rub it all down here, then drive to yours, mask it off and take off everything that's in the way?

Kez - I've got a Turkmera members ride thread which i'll put all the pictures in. Mmmm can't wait for gloss!

Elliot, depending what day quicky says is good to come, we'll arrange something, cheers.
