Its amazing what a difference new oil, leads and filters makes! I plan on doing another flush before the end of the month
Wacked these in today! A mate of mine let me borrow it to see if I liked having a harness.
I had to put an eye bolt in where the seat belt clip jobby is as the eye bolt was too fat to fit in the rear seat mount. Need to order another eye bolt to have the normal seat belt so for now I can just about reach the volume on my stereo lol!
I have only driven about 10 miles in it so far but it kinda feels like the car handles better just because you feel so much more confidant going in to corners!
I also got did my second coat of hammerite on my sump (only had red hammerite :lol2 and attacked the rust on my rear inner arches with some kurust then red hammerite!

I ended up getting a full machine polish the invoice was £246 and the company that got paint on my car paid

From 6ft the car looks mint but as soon as you get close every stone chip and hint of rust stands out! I think I just need to get it dirty again \o/
Off to see Corbs and Sam tomorrow to bash on the s3rs, gti brakes and braided hoses, wind deflectors and p2 fog lights.

I don't think they have any in AR2.... I would want some rear spats and a front splitter along with skirtsvery nice, but do yourself a favour and buy some skirts off Sam and Crobs tomorrow

Ok so some good news and some bad news....
Lets start with the good news!
- JWT S3Rs fitted
- GTI calipers fitted
- New discs and pads fitted
- p2 fog lights fitted
- heko wind deflectors fitted
- Arch rust temporarily stopped with some kurust/hammerite/corbswithadrill
- Harness removed (was really starting to piss me off)
- Started to tinker with timing
- My mate Seano now has a sexy p1 SRi
And the bad news....
- One of my wheel studs has a flat edge and I think the nut keeps coming loose
- Only fitted one goodridge braided hose as the other was being a total c-nut
- I cant get the timing right... I need a dyno day and most likely a FPR
- Gearbox thrust bearing is on its way out
- My polished car now has red hammerite on the arches..
- Insurance next month
