98gti's 97VZR

Fitted an inlet into my passenger side fog light space directly feeding the BMC following dave bull's advice in the HKS filter thread, had one on my GTI but never bothered with it on the VZR  The Autech bumper was ideal:

It's made quite an improvement, much less torque dip at the cam change. Cheers Dave. :)

having been in the car before the CAI i cant imagine how much quicker its gonna be now!

good work, looking forward to seeing this hit the strip on sunday :P

Bugger, and I was just about to reply to the message you sent me.

Glad you saw an improvement to the performance bud, but one question...

How big is the intake as the one I had on my BMC was huge.

See...

Measure the intake diameter and I'll compare it to the one I have.

Cheers

Dave

I stripped just about everything from it, a lot of it went to the Micra, and then scrapped it.

Wish I had kept it now!

Intake diameter is only about 95mm. It's a bass port out of an old sub :O it was the only thing I had that fitted & i wanted to sort something out for going to crail on sunday so it's just a temporary bodge. I'm still interested in the intake you have dave if it's still on offer.

Hahahahahahahahahaha...that's brilliant bud.

That's exactly what I used as mine tapered down to 100mm.

I will take a picture of the intake and then let you decide if if you still want it.

It's free after all, so you've nothing to lose!

Here's a couple of pictures of the intake that I promised...

Please excuse the dust, as it has been sitting for 4 years...LOL!

I have also posted this in the HKS Filter thread for reference.

Excellent mate, had a brilliant day yesterday. We were so lucky with the weather when you see what it was like at shakey's. My face looks like this :O, too much sun for a scotsman.
