Almera N16 GTiR

Check out BC Racing for coilovers too. Quality product that we've recently had a group buy for and everyone seems pleased. They do different ranges too.

If I checked correctly, they charge like hell... Can't afford such expensive parts right now... :(
The times are rather tough... :(

Thanks for info anyway... :)

Shouldnt be. They're one of the cheapest if you get the RA series.

I will have to check that. For now there are several tasks to be done under the hood. :)
Need to move that damn battery, rearrange the pipe system with the intercooler (need to turn the turbo 180 degrees around and that means that we have to rebuild the whole Turbocharger so it fits).

Than I can start working on the suspension, etc.
The car grips pretty well, we will make "negatives" with what we have and that will upgrade it's grip even more.

Peter.

That is the best N16 I've ever seen. Well done mate.

Thanks mate :)

I have put some new stuff in it... Unfortunately have to sell it anyway... that's sad for me as hell as I have a lot of fun with it...
2 examples:

1st.
Yesterday I went to refill it at the gas station... went through big crossing, even didn't touch the brake pedal with my left leg, just accelerated on the 2nd gear with the pedal to the metal and because of the LSD set to 30% the car just started sliding... Had so much fun I just couldn't stop :) Befor yesterday I was sliding as well yet always using my left leg/brake.

2nd.
Today I have been returning home from another city, about 100 miles. I was always taking the right side of the road (for you it would be left :P) and whenever a car was passing, I was starting to accelerate to see how many cars will actually pass... I found one... Golf GTI TDI doing about 100 miles/h and I started from about 60... even though 15 sec later the guy was smelling my exhaust anyway even he was accelerating...

I can tell... the car is really quick. :)

Peter.

Hi,
the car has officially been set for sale. If you have anyone willing to buy him or herself a 300 hp Nissan Almera which is faster than S3, WRX, etc, let me know. I would be really glad for your help. :)

It hearts but I have to sell it... :(

Peter.

As everything changes in this world, so do my decisions. :)
I have changed my mind and I am looking forward for new modifications:

We will turn the charger 180 degrees, so the return pipe to the IC will go under the car and will be 30 cm long, not 100 cm as it is now.

We will change the intake and cover it with aluminum on the one side and carbon on the other so the high temperature can not mix with the one around the engine itself.

The hood will get changed so there are holes letting the hot air go out as well as a hole taking the cold air in straight to the intake.

The gearbox will be a bit modified so the gears go in precise and tight.

I will put the pictures as we go on with the modifications.

All the best mates!
Peter.

I'm glad you changed your mind mate. It would be a shame to sell a motor which has had so much time and effort put into it.

As above. Glad you're continuing with this car :). Get this handling reeeally well too, so one of your next mods needs to be coilovers :D. You'd be able to drop the rear slightly too.

The whole car is dropped 35mm already... I am using Koni with Eibach for now and this won't change for some time. First need to fix stuff under the hood and the hood itself so it's not to hot for the engine. :)
