maybe they specify lower replacement intervals because its more efficient at removing sludge and engine grime...
Have you got a stock paper filter or have you got an aftermarket filter like a K&N panel filter in the airbox?

I just got a stock paper filter, thinking a pod filter or maybe a panel filter. i don't like the stock setup it's a bit useless. look at the old piping it was doing nothing at all, i could feel it sucking air through the side edge of the bonnet.

Well i dont know how someone can lose one of those but he did, so i bought a whole new mirror. and thats a quick water proof job i had done so water wouldn't run down the rust hole it the door.

the original bumper that was on my car, cracked paint flaking off and looked terrible
no bumper
New bumper from the wreckers looked mint and polished up very nice
the morning when i had her half back together
All those parts there are not reusable, dents cracks rust it was cheaper to buy new panels

I got some Top Gun 8.8mm spark plug leads
and I replaced my rocker cover with my second one I got from the wreckers, because my PCV was stuck open and was drinking oil and smoking like a mofo. I also cut out the old spark plug tube seals and sealed the brand new ones in there. I can't believe it's either that or a brand new rocker cover.

i have decided to paint each panel my self and cut and polish the old paint and professionally get the chips repaired and rust
i'm also going to order slotted and cross drilled rotors with performance brake pads and new rear drums and shoes, and wheel cylinders if she needs them.
after that ill get
•17" rims with 205 or 215 width
•sub-woofer (1200 watt) and amp
•then adjustable coil overs
•maybe turbocharger her at 6-7 psi then intercooled ill see how far my money will go by then

hi to anyone that does read this, just an update of what I've done.
put a K&N pod filter on and i can definitely feel the difference in response and a custom bracket made from 5mm aluminum plate.
me and my dad tested our painting skills on the mirror and the grill and turned out great! so we should be painting it soon when i get some more free time.
