BeardedViper N16

i just started painting mine tonight, black aswell although in leaving top half the grey. hopefully should turn out alirght, yours are looking tidy i must say with the chrome handles been thinkin of gettin some for mine as one of my springs has snapped.

might buy them off you bit short on cash the now tho as just got myself some clear side repeaters, might have look in my local scrappy again if they have any if not and u still have them il give you shout

gdgd either after chrome or the silvery ones you get. only replacing due to the spring snappin so thought i may as well change both

Due to my SHOCKING MPG at present I posted up on a thread asking about what i could do. Liam suggested cleaning the MAF so I set to it and had a crack tonight.

The 5 star tamper proof torx screws are a ballache! I read on a different forum that a way around getting these off is basically to dremmel out the middle so that you can use a flat head screwdriver to unscrew it. Did this and voila! Job done perfectly :)

The first picture shows vaguely how dirty the resistor was so cleaned it up but couldn't get a picture of the actual filaments unfortunately.

Now it's time to see if it actually does any thing :)

It has FINALLY happened :D I've lowered my car!

Only took me a month and a half after Japfest to get them on but the main thing is they're on now :)

I bought these off Dysopath at Japfest and the standard spring colour is red:

I really didn't want red springs so cracked on with the prepping for paint:

After that everything was put back on the car and I now have a lowered N16 :)

Now for the thankyou's:
Andy - For letting me use his garage and helping me with everything..much appreciated
Rob (Fossil Fuels) - For getting the spring compressors over to me..Thanks :)
Ed K - More of a sorry for messaging you in work!
Paul (Pred1012 - For offering up suggestions)

Total time to remove and refit springs - 8 1/2 hours which I dont think is bad for a first attempt.

Fitted to the car:
