aww, now now don't laugh. eddie's takin some unkind flack i reckon. I mean, yeh he may have a lot to learn about monster sandwiches or topless myspace mobile pic mirror poses, but that nothin he can't learn from a gay icon like myself or you ross :lol:

Yeah i started friday, went out ooo lala lets go for it.. my 17mm bit broke.. some chrome valendium toolkit later (today purchase) we have fronts on and one rear done.. gotta say not as hard as i thought it would be just fcking fidly
 
What I mean is that everyone starts somewhere and we aren't all mechanical geniuses from the off.
My KYBs have arrived too WOOT. Have you noticed much with them on edmonster?
 
Drive is transformed with them, did a ppushh test with each shock compared to new ones... KYB's rebound some 2x quicker and a good 25% stiffer to press in

Great compfort levels now and no more boatyy :D
 
I only replaced my 2 rear shocks with KYB's when one broke, felt instantly better. I predict all 4 over standard ones will be very sweet.
 
Should be able to feel the difference just in general driving. I did at least. Unless it was some sort of placebo affect. Saying that, i'd been driving with a busted one for a while and it nearly threw me off the road.
 
Just done a reasonably comprehensive road test going to uni libary and back, actually love these KYB's best 150 odd quid spent on the car PERIOD ... refines acceleration too as car doesnt learch so much overall win!
 
Its only a TU5 16V 110bhp lump.. besides if he had quad exhaust he probs had a subb.. my car doesnt have all that and is the same power.. pretty even stevens in all honesty
 
ed he either wasnt trying or it was a lookalike! a gti 106 would have pissed all over you even with a lardy passenger in the car! :D heck standard GTi meras struggle until past 70mph and pretty sure theyre about 125, 130bhp
 
Alrite Ed good to hear those shocks make a difference, I'm still waiting on two prothane mounts that dont come with the pack I bought from ebay before I fit these!!

Did both the gaiters and bump stops fit ok?
