Fiona's New N15...

i like the sound of your plans mate, and i think with 11.5-12:1 and 16VE cams and a good tune you should manage 210bhp. tbh i'd remove the aircon as that pump and mounting plate weigh an absolute ton!!

you'd make 210bhp now prolly depending on where you have it dyno'd

if you want 210 on somewhere like surrey you'll need a lot!

i think if you dyno'd it on where wezzs made 210 you'd see a lot better figures than your current ones, which i think would make you feel better.

either that or removing all the crap out your car, gettin it runnin nice and runnin a good 14s 1/4

I wouldnt be comparing anything to the stock needle for the revs, they are very very innacurate and over read for fun

and how do you learn someone?

Ah ok, was going to say would be a nice quick cheap fix there otherwise. Im not sold on those alloys to be fair but its not my car, so doesnt matter what I think lol! You getting another Primera you say?

Tooling wise i will be looking to purchase a Snap-On Digital torque wrench for the job. All bolts will be torqued to manufacture specifications...even the rocker bolts ect.

Well i hope every bolt you are torquing is brand new otherwise you'll be wasting your time.

rebuilding it and not upping the compression is pretty pointless if theres nothing wrong atm

have you even comp tested your engine as is? if it's perfectly healthy you'll gain nothing for a big price, and potentially make the engine less reliable having been built by a n00b not a nissan tech lol

as for the 2500mile run in period - ridiculous imo

you gonna run 2500 miles on the current map? then have it remapped? anything thats wrong with the current map or not suiting the new build will potentially wear the engine

imo all these plans and money spent is silly if you don't wanna up the comp or change much - money would be far better spent getting a proper health check on yours. If the compression of it currently is good then spend the money on the n1 cams, a proper header and exhaust and a good remap.

I'd have to agree, why rebuild the engine (with stock parts) if there is nothing wrong with it in the first place?

Is it burning oil, noisey, poor MPG, poor compression etc??
