JC#79's Nordic P11 GT LE

Ah you've finally unveiled to the world Rich! Looks awesome. To anyone who doesn't remember this is the same engine that was in the 'P11 GTT' red Primera that was on sale here a good while back :D It's a beast!

dont ask me how or why but I knew I would be seeing a turbo conversion when I clicked the link  looks good man how is it?

You must be physic young man how indeed did you know???:cool:
She took a little getting used to but now am feeling more used to what is under the hood, still so much more to come as she is currently only running low boost till she gets live mapped.

Nice piece of machinery you got out there! Respect!
Thanks very much was in the pipeline for quite sometime so am glad to have got her this far, still a few bits to sort but she runs & oh man does she pull like a train...:D

man this kids got some doe lol, sweet mods chap.
Thanks again, I wish I did have? :P This car has been with me since 2001 & has taken sometime getting it to where it is now but I would do it all over again. ;)

Actually Ed the engine is still in "P11 GTT" & I'm sure that's a blue Primera
But yes finally unveiled & I have not stopped smiling since I first heard her fire up for the first time...:D

Nice P11 ! (;

Nice car,I like the turbo engine ! does it work well ? ;)
your rims fit perfectly, looks nice - especially whit the brembo brakes behind !
Like the details, G20 clear frontlights and the folding mirrors, I would like the mirros on my N15 :P

Good job, nice 'mera' (;

Regards from Denmark :D

Keep up doin' it ...

Thanks for the nice comments, much appreciated. As for the front headlights they are actually not g20 clears but instead JDM P11 crystal clear headlights (also fit G20 sorry to split hairs). As for the engine it works very well thus far & is not bad on fuel either (better than old engine did with all the mods on it). But I will reserve judgement until I can get it live mapped & running to it's full potential. ;)

Very Nice, quick question, did you have to modify the Greddy bov. Some of the merkins speak of removing the small spring?

Also can you explain what this is in more detail? - ECU Daughterboard by H-Dev Ltd

Cheers.

It's what Jez solders onto our ECU then maps the car through this by storing the info on a chip on the board.

Similar principle to a Dastek but they splice the loom.

Im loving those blue dash lights. Quick question, im trying to do the same to my almera N15 but I cant seem to get a 509 bulb in blue that will fit the circuit board. Did you have this problem and if so, how did you get around it?

Think the pennys dropped, does he mean horsham developments? I'm getting tempted to go see these guys with the turbo.

Yes, he is shit hot with DET's, but I wasn't that keen on the live mapping...and much prefer it to be done on a dyno. And I did gain 20whp with different cams and mapped with a Dastek.

Ed at Fusion just uses the Australian compnay 'Nistune' daughterboards and software and maps it himself. You can buy the hardware and software off Nistune for about £200 then sort the mapping yourself...and if your a geek like me you can hook a laptop up and play about anytime you wan't.

If you just wan't the easy option, go Ricwood in Manc he uses Dasteks.

Did it get a respray or am I missing something?

Well after popping over to Jez from Horsham Developments to get my ECU re-mapped I felt compelled to find out what power my Nordic beast was pushing out.

Here are my graphs from my Nordic Blue P11 GTLE SR20DE-Turbo:

Torque:

Boost:

Air/Fuel:

Max figures are:
271 BHP @ 5300 RPM
285 lbs Torque @ 4150
at .9 bar of boost

Still loads to do & for a first attempt not a bad result but still plenty to sort out & am expecting higher figures once these are resolved. When I got back from the dyno run I checked the intake pipework as I was experiencing boost leak so I will need to rectify that before the next run (guess that will explain why the graph tailed off so quickly).

Almost forgot to post up some pictures of the car on the dyno, I have video to upload also but it is only off a camera phone.
