Good stuff man..what's the weight of it?mines stuck in customs.. dhl are in cahoots with customs from what I've seen online..
 
Havent personally weighed it but the box says 10lbs(incl cardboard etc) so id imagine the fly is correct at 8.8lb...luckily enuf the seller had it marked at 100 $ value so only had to pay 22yo yos...I'd say the wait is doing your nut in

I seen a lot of flywheels were heavier than stated..and they didn't look for proof of purchase?i had to send me invoice in to them..so I reckon ill be charged round the ton mark..yeah I mad to get it fit..is your gti boosted yet?
 
Jus had the reciept on the front of the box saying car parts 100 $..looked as though the box was opened as well. ..yeah man its boosted ages now I just never have it out...literally only had it out a handful of times for a couple of races..
Dont wanna have it constantly on the road till I have it 110% and mint..im a fussy fuck

Have very few clips of it but this was it the last timr I had it on the road against a mates strung out dc2..
I had shocking tyres a half goosed fuel pump cat and 2inch downpipe init at that stage...
So hoping for a major difference when its back on the road

Kool I'd love to see her sometime..I've only ever seen 1 gti never mind a boosted one..:eek:..clutch n flywheel should make some difference..I'm the same me self wouldn't put it on the road till it mint..ya get your autech spoiler fitted?o_O​
 
Ah ill have her to a few events throughout the summer no doubt...nah im getting the car completely resprayed end of june so itll be around then before its on...got a twin slot grill aswel and im currently makin a custom bonnet with side vent for straight above the air filter. .
I just need to pick up a fresh t28 now and its full steam ahead cos my own one is throwing out blue

They certainly werent cheap to say the least...
I made a custom rail at first but looked cack and lobsided so just splashed out..
Cant wait to fit them with the new recaros
 
How are you fitting the recaros to the rails?

Where did you order them from?

Got mine from nengun, shipping was as much as the rails!
 
Got them through the jap auctions. .a guy I know from oz has a contact in japan and he bidded.
I know ill have to mod one of the mounts in the almera for the rail to sit on...as far as im aware there are gaps for bolts on the rails to mate up to the recaro but ill see for definite this evening
 
Ask Niall about how he bolted his seat to the rail. Think his had like, two metal bars with a few different stud patterns to accommodate different seats or side mount brackets. Not sure though, was from Damos yoke
 
Yah I sold that rail to damo from the black vzr..cant remember wat it was like though..I'm heading up now to have a look at fitting them

Threw one in earlier..sit very well..
Not sure what recaro this is but seems identical to an evo 3 with the exception of being black and having a leather back and lower sides.

Some vzr interior would match well and mite dye the carpet black.
