as for the exhaust its really nice i will post a video of it tbh i think its too loud let me know what you think

i can take the car down to where i got it fitted and they said they can sort it for me and make it a bit quieter :)

i liked to look of your old tail pipe, i think its was/is loud maybe because there isn't a mid box after the cat?

ps i have copied your rear flatwiper blade eek

Have you scrapped the old backbox? I am after the axle up and over pipe off a Janspeed is all!

ive got a box just after the cat because the janspeed one comes standard like that

im still using the janspeed pipe just not the janspeed backbox

the janspeed back box is completely empty im sending them a nice letter :)

its been back to there main factory and checked and they say its fine but two garages ive been to say that it is buggered

well i picked my new lights up from parcelforce on tuesday and after paying £28 in custom charges :( with it being dark when i finish work i only could fit them at the weekend so today i did :)

im very pleased with the outcome i love the way they look and the condition of them are great apart from a few little marks where it looks like hes tryed to use a screw driver to get the lights off the previous car

I cant believe i'm saying this but on a standard red phase 2, it doesn't do anything for me, think i need a lie down....

I think it needs the ph1 numberplate thing and a square plate?
 
dan i love your car like my own, you know this however im not keen on these type of lights. only because we all want newer parts, ie ph2 spec items on ph1 etc etc. clearside indicators (new car look) and what not cus orange in any lamp imo is early 90's looking.

these vz-r lamps have the orange that i don't like, i prefer the clear look.
ps the ph2 GTi front indicators are tinted dark and are ok

Looking great :thumb: but I think the clear topped ones would have been a bit nicer as imo the amber clashes with the red of the car :/
 
just a quick update to my car just got a right bargain well i think it was a bargain

ive been looking for a armrest thingy for ages and i spotted a 1999 'v' reg almera ambition at a scrap yard not too far from me

i went to have a look at it today and........ ta da :D

paid only £15 for the whole centre section and i got a few little bits too :D

i've hit the conclusion i hate P2 rears. despite first thoughts, my colour coded rears have really grown on me. looks nice dan. deffo.
 
im not sure about aftermarket alloys i may get some standard almera GTi alloys and get the powdercoated black

wouldnt mind it a little lower too but i cant go too low as of my drive has a slope and i would catch the underside

Hmm I'm not sure if the orange goes well with the red. The clear ones would have been better on the rear and imo, the indicators need taking apart and painted inside to match the headlights.

Still a very nice car!

My car's entire service history seems to have been at Dobbies in Cumbria...can you verify their work? :P
