Engine bay

Thanks mate try to keep it as clean as poss, got the hoses from Kristian who was breaking a GTi a while back on AOC! Prob still selling a few things. Yeah think they're GTi-r ones, should fit perfectly!!

Got the A/C out late last year, was doing my head in with all those pipes and radiator doin nuthing so ripped the lot out, prob saving about 20kg cause the motor, rad & iron bracket were heavy f**kers lol!!

Cheers :D

Air flow mete

:DAlrite guys, looking to get a bit servicing done on the car this weekend!! Goin to change power steering and clutch fluid, also wanting to know where the air flow meter is after seeing a post a while back from Datsun I think? As it seems to improve the general running of the car. Where is the polling filter aswell?

Anyone help?

Thanks :D

AIr flow meter is just after your airfilter the plastic thing with a connector on the top that you airfilter is supported on!

Good luck changing the Clutch fluid :)

How do you plan on draining the Power Steering fluid? I'm gonna do this I think but not sure I can be bothered bleeding the whole thing for air.

pollen filter is behind the glove box, take the glove box out and you should see a vertical peice of plastic, to remove it you need to use a stanley blade and cut the plastic to enable it to come out Im sure theres a how to on the forum somewhere :)

Be very careful with the MAF its incredibly delicate

Power Steering bleeding is simple. Just turn the wheel lock to lock (it will feel like a non p/s car for the first few turns) and keep adding more fluid until it gets to the correct level.

I'm not sure why you'd need to change the fluid at all, it doesn't normally deteriorate.

Finally Zenin, clutches in Gti's are cable not hydraulic ;)

Cheers

Cheers for the replys, ha ha silly boy!! Thats me trying to service the car a bit too much

My mate with the 200SX (SELLING IT SO PASS THE WORD ON) is a mechanic and has a tool which easily drains the old fluid out and pumps the new stuff in no probs, that'll get done 2moz!!

Cheers for the how too TheSam, sounds easy enough!! Watched my bro change his on his EK9 (wasnt even a filter in the car) so it was full of wasps, bees, shit and a big mosquito thing so may have ended up in the car when it was in Japan cause never seen it before!!
Not looking forward to seeing what state the filter is in in mine unless its been changed previously which I doubt!!

Thanks again

It was a piece of piss to change filters took me 5 mins!! Didnt need to cut any plastic though as The Sam told me just had to screw plate off and take a clip off!!

Was full of leaves when I took filter out so if any1 not done theres I'd recommend it with what I found in mine and from the pics of the old filters cant be too good breathing in that muck everyday!!

if you didnt have to cut the plastic it would have been changed before :) put some new ones in mine yesterday, proper grim my old ones

tip with both pollen filter out, put blower of full speed and watch the shit/leaves that come out. may have to do this few time too. great work fella, i really struggled getting the pollen filters from anywhere but nissan oddly. i also brough an a/c bomb at the same time to keep things even fresher-ra.
