My Green GTi

yeah the lowering springs are fitted in the pics, doesnt look much lower, but definately is. lol

not sure on the make of the springs, but according to phil, they are 40mm drop, and according to eddie, the make is pi , i think. lol

in the flesh it definately looks alot lower, monka has done the "hand test"

which sounds slightly rude but:

before it was lowered he could fit his whole hand under the arch above the tyre sideways now its lowered its a few less fingers if that makes sense.

dont think its an obx header, but that, and a decat to go on. sort the front bumper out, and a few other little things

nice wheels, the black of course guz nicley wiv the green. whats next?
dd

thank dude :)

i have a gti front bumper with splitter to repair and paint, a 4 2 1 manifold to go on, 2.5" decat (thanks shaggy) the rear bumper needs some tlc (slight scuff, not from me btw!) and theres quite a big dent that hopefully should be getting removed this month, oh and maybe window tints ;)

decided to smooth in the centre grill, but thats how it is at the moment, more to be done on the weekend, hopefully the weather is nice!

cheers will do, that plastic is very strong, fingers crossed everything goes ok! :)

then it will be a rare kitted green gti! lol

cheers :)

i was going to smooth in the front splitter but decided not to as the rest of the kit would look odd imo.

its getting there slowly but surely!

i was thinking about reinforcing it, and what about doing a layer of fibreglass on the whole inside of the splitter?

foam would be bloody annoying to use i reckon. :( and fibreglass will prob make it stronger than the foam would?

Yeah just remember to rough up the surface first, my original repair on tashas splitter had a knock and I ended up with a small copy of the splitter lying on the road!

haha will do!, the bits that me and monka have fibreglassed so far we have sanded down the inside to get rid of any dirt and crap and to make it slightly rough, i think a rough sanding sponge is in order!

i think i stay with just the fibre glass tbh, good idea though! Then theres a place down the road from me who do wheel refurbs and bumper scuffs and stuff, i wonder if they would spray my bumper and fix up the scuff ive got on the O/S rear, hmmmmm.

i may go and ask them today actually, see what they quote me as i rather not do the bumper with rattle cans lol.
