Nice going, off topic but what is andy doing with the car?
hopefully not. i'm using the loom out of "berretta"s apple green GTi so hopefully that solves the problem. there isnt really many sensors in the block that can go wrong, and the dizzy has been replaced and still doesnt solve the problem so that eliminates any sensors in the dizzy, and swapping the loom should solve any bad earth. i've got the loom out of chris' car for futur proofing. and i will be getting the dastek off him soon
doing it myself with Rick, Mattmera and Chris180's mechanical and moral support
ok well i started the SR20 conversion last night. my write up is not gonna be near a comprehensive as joes, but here is the story so far:
SR20, 70k miles, completely standard:
off with the gearbox to inspect and replace the clutch
Overnight parts from america y0
toyosports header. should be good for some noize
Clutch and XTD flywheel fitted to the block
poly front mount to replace my aluminium one
the GX into RRDevelopments Garage for surgery
the GA
byebye moderator status
air con, radiator, battery, loom, fuel and heater all disconnected
last look
lightweight edition
oh. 0BHP / 0Ft.lbs. one manpower

thats as far as we got in the 7 hours we were working. i reckon another 4 hours will nail it. so it is a days work start to finish for 2 people.
only hiccup i had was i never properly disconnected the GA16 driveshafts and tore them in two when i lifted the car off the engine.
more pics and hopefully a vid tonight/tommorow.
