Got brake pipes orders today,decided to get copper nickel ones.Also removed the cai and went to wai still using the apexi filter now even sharper throttle response in the lower rpms.Actually thinking about midrange is probs the same or better,as it's a lot smoother powerband all the way to redline,as with the cai i used to get a big surge of power after 3.5k,but prefer it this way now.Never thought i would be saying i perfer wai over cai.
Right few pic's from today,also did the wiper motor fix. So due to the wiper's not wiping on intermittent,common fault on primera,normally due to the grease in the motor tuning thick and dried up etc,i removed mine to drill out the rivet's holding the casing to the wiper motor etc as it's a seal unit,i re-grease it after cleaning it out,then bent out the contact's more while i was at it also.Next i needed to drill the casing of the motor to accommodate the new screw's that would replace the old rivet's etc,then i tapped the hole's i drilled to take the screw thread's,once i got that done,i put it back together,try the wiper's on intermittent,oh dear,still not working,so on the off chance i wiggled the motor loom and they worked on all setting's.So they sorted now,plus i now have a serviceable wiper motor that can be grease etc in the future just by removing the screw's that i have used instead of the rivet's like Oem.Which is handy.
great cheers prim mines just started acting up on intermittent, changed wiper amp and no avail so was gunna go scrappy tomorrow and source a replacement and grab a stalk as well just in case but ill try this first.
anything i should be careful of?
