N16 DCi-R

Has to be worst car I've had owned in that respect hardly used the P11 one but liked having it there in bad weather. But the N16 rear glass is a magnet for dirt/grim it's totally bizarre & spoiler doesn't help either as I'd hoped also!

On the dirty window thing, the N1 is 100 times worse than the van for it. its covered within a mile or 2 i actually had to detar my rear window

As long as it was strong enough and dealt with any flex etc can't see any issues bud.

Diffuser idea might be back on then... I could even get the wheel well cut away to meet the angle of the diffuser, thus using the plate that gets welded in as a nice big area of support for it.
 
if you are nervous, get a diagonal brace welded in across the boot floor after cutting out the wheel well. wouldnt need much of a section.
 
Yeah Spook and me were talking about this.. flat boot floor is fine. Its on my to do list anyhow

Something I've wanted to do for a while is put a light tint on the rear lights. Take the edge of the bright red/pinkish colour. I intended to have it done at JAE but didn't have the funds available.

Sounds similar to lamin-x 3M film check them out for comparison prices as they are welcoming of club discounts as I set one up over on NPOC.

A flat back floor is a whole lot noisier than one with a spare wheel well punched into it. My work car has the flat floor and spare underneath, it was like a drum. It took a decent layer of foam and a wooden rack bolted down to stop it drumming and shut it up.

Cutting stuff out underneath isn't going to help your back window stay clean. All hatches and wagons have that issue. You could fit a roof-top spoiler to divert air down in the back, but it would create lift at higher speeds. Little bit scary.
 
Im planning on blackening out my rear lights with the fly eyes kit when i get a chance :)
