N16 DCi-R

Just took her out for a drive. First impressions are very good. It was a little damp out there but the turn in felt more positive and probably a lot thanks to the new ARB poly bushes the car felt more stable mid corner too.

Top work ed. Looks the mutts. What happens when you finish? Shall have to come up with a new crazy Idea no one else has done :D

Believe me I've got loads more to do that I've thought of, and I'm sure there's more to do after that that I haven't!

Doubt it'll ever go 4x4 due to the money involved to do it, but it's far from impossible to do. X-Trail gearbox bolts right on that comes with transfer box, x-trail or Sunny rear sub frame. Prop shaft is anyone's guess. Custom I'd wager.

2.5 liter navara conversion on yd22 and you're good to go!

Not exactly, but yes it's been common knowledge for a while now that I plan to do that at some point. Easier and less hassle to bore out the YD22 block and put YD25 internals in it. Think of it as an OEM stroker kit... and someone already makes a forged crank for all that too.

But there's plenty to do to it as a 2.2L before I need to think about that ;)

As you said mate, the cost of even trying to convert it to a 4x4 would be ridiculous ! I wonder if El wasn't perhaps taking the mickey when he suggested it ?

Started filling in the toe eye hole , and also doing the finishing work on the bumper. Kudos to my bodywork place JD Modified for offering their advice. Good for them as i can get it to a standard they can work with and not risk their paint cracking later.

Fair enough, lol. I just think the time & work involved could be wallet busting/headache inducing. In all honesty, I don't really see too many benefits from making the car heavier & more complicated - but it would be another 1st !

I honestly don't think making it will be hard. As i say the parts are there. The issue of exhaust along with prop shaft. Failing that i just import a 4wd G10 from Japan of course. Rear end of the Jap saloon is ugly though.
