Ed, i say just leave it as it is! Wouldnt bother with a rear diffuser, just get a bigger exhaust and get a back box with the same look as it is now, i love your behind just as it is! ;)
I dont like any of the exhaust options you put up, :/ i love it how you have it and love seeing the backbox shining from under you car,

With the images youve put up its looking like a max power car kinda,

If I was to keep the same look I would get the current back box repaired, but still need the pipe over the beam adjusted as it knocked on bigger bumps and a load in the boot.

Whoa whoa whoa Ed the Oracle has spoken....

Diffusers can be a bit hit and miss depending on the style and application

Not going for anything huge, after some better air flow under the car, better mpg primarily. Will coincide with front and rear undertrays (working around the rear beam as best as possible).

New center silencer and tip. Backbox is being removed. Reason for the change was opportunity... the mounting rods on the current backbox have all broken off now. Instead of repairing that with plates (will look poor and add weight), I've always liked the idea of no backbox which I will get away with on the Diesel as it's not as loud. So instead I'm using a 22" center silencer (I see some G20 owners have used this exact Magnaflow part on their systems).

I also spotted this tip when I was in collecting the silencer from the Heathrow supplier. I wanted a slash cut design anyway and thought this was spot on, with some nice Magnaflow etching to boot :).

Look forward to the finished article Ed, the centre section looks like what I had fitted to my 3" system to help with the db level.

Holy smokes - that's definitely the longest centre box I've ever seen ! Given that photo 1.1 looks pretty darn smart, this is gonna look good I think :)

Going for 1.2 though now Paul, but looking more closely at the rear bumper and chassis the wheel well would need to be removed to install an effective diffuser. With the wheel well still there it would only be for looks so no point. Instead I'll just go with the under tray which will go on fine. With no backbox to get in the way too.

I guess, but at the same time it doesn't catch the eye and stand out as much as a big stainless backbox.

It'll be interesting to hear how it sounds too Ed :) One thing I'm really missing from my new ride is the feedback of engine noise. The chassis itself is softer of course, but it's the eery silence which is putting off the accuracy of my driving. A very strange sensation - almost like sensory deprivation, lol ! I think a mod similar to yours maybe the answer . . . .
