Right then, I found the NATS dongle... jeez Nissan didnt want that thing removed did they
Swapped em over, tried to start it.... nothing
cranked for a few seconds and still nothing. Ign on and off a few times, tried again and it fired into life! Woop! So let it run, topped up coolant ect. Then dropped the oil and filled it up with Millers CFS 5w40, changed the filter and the spark plugs.
Then onto sorting out the brakes, made up the replacement copper pipe, worked first time!! Doesnt leak either, i was amazed! Ha. So fitted the new flexis, topped up the fluid and waited for my mate to turn up so i could bleed them.
In the meantime i re-assembled the dash, fitted the catback, adjusted the front bumper bar, undersealed the xmember and bits of the front end, fitted the headlights and bumper and with a little more adjustment ive got the ph2 lights sitting properly!
Mate arrived, bled the clutch, no problems. Moved onto the brakes, 1st side went fine, but the bleed nipple on the other side was fubbard, but managed to get it undone, bleed ok so it seemed.... Tightened up the hub nuts, put the wheels back on, took it off the axle stands, fired it up to take it for a test drive but noticed there was alot of steam... Rad cap is leaking
But ive got a spare on to go on anyway... Reversed out the garage to find theres barely any brakes!?! But must have bled 500ml of fluid thru each side so who knows? Will i need to bleed the rears? But ill probs just take in the garage and ask if i can use the pressure bleeder
The new wishbones and DIY engine mounts have really transformed how the car drives... gear selection and acceleration is sooooo smooth and cornering feels more planted!
