Before you fit the fto brakes have 2mm skimmed off the mounting lugs and the caliper carriers, this will remove the need for spacing out the disc from the hub.
Yeah I was planning to do that with the hubs spacers are shite!
Powerland doesn't perform he is right almost anyone that looked at it that had a clue of the way manifolds work said it was shite... but they sound soooooo good ha ha.
90% of the welding done one or two more holes left to fill and then it'll be time to dry build the entire bay again.
Getting time to do anything is a nightmare between work and college exams but the end of next month should see the bay painted.
So its July and work continues very fucking slowly on the N1. Relocated to a mates shed where he builds drift cars so when im not working with him im at the N1.
At the moment im in the middle of plating the unwanted holes in the bay as some of the plating was to rough to work with so the badly filled holes were holesawed out and plated flush with the original metal. Leaving it far tidier and alot more discreet. The primer and paint will completely conceal any trace of them.
Ive put a timeline on the car now as im suck of it sitting up looking butchered so i will be updating weekly from now on.
Thanks man. Its tedious as fuck as 8m not amazing with a welder. Very time consuming. The first hole took around 45mins to get perfect. As its curved with a ripple through it from factory and had to be shaped and dollied accordingly... yay.
