^ Well that's coming next so watch this space...lol

I am doing well so far.

Jacked car
Radiator out
Oil sump plug off, drained oil

I just think when the engine was out it was screwed on so fooling tight and I have not got the car jacked up high enough for me to give it a good twist.
I'll eat my spinach in the morning and have another Popeyes human strength go..

If removing an oil filter got you worked up i cant wait til you start boosting it. But why bother changing it now? You'll have to change angain when you drop the sump to drill the oil return.

I am doing that next, now...then put the new oil filter back on after.

Now I have the car jacked up higher work can commence.

Sump removal and drill time..wish me luck. X

Haha, I did 90% of it, just got my neighbour to help with the drilling and tapping. He is a builder by trade, so wanted him to drill it well/ right whilst I hoovered up the metal shavings..lol

I have taken over 50 pictures of the how to process so will put up in my sr20ve + t blog when finished.
Just need to put everything back together now which I am dreading.

Word of advice jack the car much higher or use professional ramps. Will be much easier.

I dropped exhaust, dropped crossmember, removed oil pan cover, widget trays fom oil pan, removed upper sump, drilled pilot hole. Then as my drill was not big enough for the larger drill bit I asked the neighbour if he could use his special drill.
He then drilled the larger hole and helped tap it. Job done.
But it took ages..trying to break the seal on the upper pan was a pain.

No ptfe used, just oiled the hole, tapered it and added sealant rtv to the end section.
