Project JJ (Jamaica)

ah thought this might be your mates header off the n14....should be epic then man after the times he ran. Gutted he binned that n14 didn't he?

look forward to results

even tho jj will be untuned, i wanna make some passes this weekend

so i have putting in some basic prep:

my tuner leaned out the bin for me. did one more for me with a 6500rpm launch limiter limit. that one will be used with some 430 compound circuit slicks. the regular one with 4000rpm launch limiter will be used with some kumho ku36 (these 99% wear, lol)

Also got this from a friend who just returned from Japan. Heard that it will add 5-7 more whp

things left to do:

1. service car

2. secure rims for slicks

3. take out seats - guess that's the only weight loss she will under go

wanna compete in 14 sec class but will be at test and tune to see what the best time she can do, given power (guessing 190whp) and rubbers i have to work with

so i went to the track last weekend - saturday and sunday

with the ku36 i was was pulling some 2.2 sixty and some 14.0 and 14.1 with 100mph consistently

with the circuit slicks - good year 430 compound, i was pulling consistent 2.0 sixty foot and 13.9 and 14.0 with 99mph. i was using some heavy rass rims on the circuit slicks

that was saturday

aim was to run 14 sec class so sunday i decided i wasnt gonna take any chance so i made my 1st of 3 qualifying runs with the circuit tyres. time was 14.050 so i parked

8 cars made grid so win 3 races and the trophy is yours

my first elimination race we both broke out but my time was faster so that ends my day

i was hoping to do 13.8 or so on streets and about 13.7 on the circuit slicks so i was a bit disappointed

analysis: car not yet tuned but we see where some more top end speed is needed

will keep you updated as soon as i hit the dyno

below is the break out slip (best time for the meet) and vid of same race. the sensor for trap speed in my lane was not working

just got a chance to visit dyno since i installed the 4-1

base run was 184whp

this compares the sr16ve cams with ssac (185whp) to 4-1 and n1 cams

garry4-1.jpg

bear in mind i dynoed 197whp with ssac and n1 some time ago. albeit with a different dyno. that was the last graph i posted here.

sorry. the rpm thing kept breaking up hence no tq curve

well seeing that JJ cant get any faster, i have decided to 'rice' her up a bit

my vz-r steering wheel was fading and i kind of needed a change so i sold it and copped a used momo. feels great!

Nice find with the carpet mats!

What'cha mean it cant go any faster!? I dont believe you.:stuart:

was you running a modded ssac header when you ran the above figures? did you have a retune with the new 4-1 header in the end?

the graph above showed modded ssac, sr16ve cams vs 4-1 and n1 cams. both tuned

i did 197whp with modded ssac and n1 cams. but on a different dyno. power didnt hold as good as the 4-1.

graph is somewhere in this thread too
