Cheers boys, needs a dab of welding to prevent inner arch rust (just starting), and the sills undersealing and a scuff painting, then MOT time :)

Gah. The guy who does our welding has been ill so the red GTi is still here.

In other news, we've fixed a pug 106 diesel (Twice) and made a start on troubleshooting a pesky 306.

From working on them, we swore we would never buy a french car.

So today Sam picked up a 306 diesel.

Cut out one day, refuses to start.

Fuel pump was changed it ran for a day or two then died again.

Fuel pump pulley is bent :s

Management light is on and some other lights too, we may have made it a bit worse though.

So I bought another working one that's a cat b write off

So, red GTi now gone as a shell, 306 went with a load of metal in it.

Still have the engine conversion bits left from the GTi looking for a new home but most other pieces have been sold.

I'm sticking these pics in here as they are kind of about stuff we are doing that aren't our own projects.

Doing a shoot with work that requires convertibles, so we bought this

And this - both with 12 months MOT each.

But for diligence we had to put them through a fresh MOT. The Merc passed with no advisories but the Mazda failed on few things. Dropped it off to be welded this morning...

A few holes the size of a 50p piece on a patch turned into..

So that's an arch and quite a large section of the quarter panel made out of filler and a thin layer of rust. Guess we can't use that car. So got to dispose of it some way.
