A friend of ours called Bruce, one of the most diligent welders I know. Finishes it all off properly and grinds it smooth afterwards too. He will do good rates for arch/sill repair.

Can't believe the difference with the red GTi. Sam works his magic once more!
 
I did wonder if the back of the sill on the white one got the weld seam ground down after to tidy it up, looks tidy though, wish I lived nearer you, would have my car on axle stands at your place most the time getting your welder mate round!

It's all done at a unit with a 2 post lift, much better than axle stands in EVERY imaginable way.
 
So we've moved to a new home, with power! What a novelty. Just need to sort out a scrap run for all the rubbish we have lying around.
