Stani's SR20 Micra Build

Haha no probs :)

Went up to the garage out of the blue to put together a workbench before i wanted to strip the almera. So done that using scraps from my workvan

Me and glen then realised it was a bit early to just go away so decided to tear into the almera for a few hours :D

Regarding the loom weve removed it carefully and marked any wires we might possibly forget then cable tied it all together for safe storage, back on friday night to do a bit more.

Theres a couple of things im hoping you guys can identify more quickly for me if possible

The first one is mounted below the horns, i think its either a temp sensor or airbag related? Bin?

The second is a part of the vacuum system from inlet/carbon cannister? Bin?

The last is just a connection which is near the wiper motor, the loom that runs along the top of the radiator to the N/S headlight continues up the N/S and plugs in here:

All help appreciated!

Do you not just need the engine loom?

If i was any good at car electrics maybe but since im useless ill fit the whole loom and make adjustments at the front/back lights and anywhere else. Oh and my micra doesnt have any wiring anyway :(

Yeah top one is a temp sensor, can bin that off, and second one is for the carbon canister. Can vin that but make sure you chop and plug the hose that goes to the top of the inlet.

Well tonights plan changed from picking up the engine crane and dropping it off to actually using it! :) this thing called light and dry and space is such a great motivator!

Poor car, only had it 4 days

Friday night coming up ill begin on interior removal

Been at it again and i think another night and thats its stripped :)

Ive cut the dash and im going to fit it into the micra somehow

As always i need a few pointers please, can anyone tell me what these boxes and connections are for

Thanks!

Black box i think is sensitivity of the alarm sensors, white box is central locking control unit and the connection in the barrel is i asume the antenna ring for the chip in the key.

Hopefully someone else can confirm this too.

Big black box is the nats control unit, smaller one is the alarm sensitivity, remove the rubber bung and there's a small screw inside it.

Ok great cheers, ill be deleting nats, central locking etc so just making sure. Nats will be deleted after the car runs thougg to clear any running issues.

Big box is alarm and central locking control not nats, it makes no difference to the running of the car when removed.
