How you mean Sam? I have a 5zigen on the end of a 2.5 cat back.........

The box does drop in size copared to the pipe work of my cat back i know, but i dont see that making a massive differance.

it does.

i had a 2" fuji backbox on the back of my 2.5" autech catback.

it got replaced because it was explained to me that as the exhast gases cool, they expand in volume and slow down, so you ideally need the exhaust to get bigger towards the back, not smaller. so having a restrictive backbox is the worst place to have restriction
 
It's only basic physics but I understand that.

I agree with though that if it gets smaller its more likely to keep its heat and move quicker. Obviously only to a certain extent.

Im gonna get her on the rollers before she comes back off the road so will be good to see if my exhaust is holding me back, i dont think it will be.
