UK devoid of SRi's

Why does the UK not have any SRi's for sale? 1.4 too slow, 1.6 5dr suck. There are no 3rd Almera 1.6 SRi's...anywhere...

Anyone know where to look?

They must of been slow sellers, I'm more interested when I see a 3dr p2 SRi than any GTi.

Thanks. No offence to any 5dr owners. I know they can look amazing like I've seen on here. I have a tight budget though and not the money or desire to alter anything.

I'd go for a 3 door Sri in white they look the dogs if you can get a clean one!

Edit....
Also just looked on Autotrader and there's a Nissan Pulsar X1 (Basically the Japanese version of the Sri) for sale for £650. That's a 3 door and it come's with the JDM grille and indicators etc. Search Autotrader for Pulsar and you'll see it. I had one that I broke for spares and the JDM 1.5 engine is quite nippy.

There's more on auto trader now. Unfortunatly they're over 100k mileage. However, I'm hoping if i wait it out (been without a car since august painfully) one will arraive. I like the almera, but the 1.4 fiesta could be chosen purely for some cheap horsepower, nearly same as SRi due to weight. The almera is much nicer and comfier though.

I'm determined to get a Mera though.

Is the difference between the 1.6 and 1.4 engine huge? Because there are a few really nice cheap Si's at the moment. It's just the weight of Mera might bog a 1.4 down.

I wouldn't let mileage put you off too much, mines on 117k and not a problem. I can't say about the difference between a 1.4 and a 1.6, I can't see it being too bad as long as you don't drive the other lol. That's how I put up with it ;)

5 doors look better in my opinion and more practical. took me ages to find my car (over year) was driving renault in mean time. As they say.......seek and you shall find, also patience my friend, you'll find one. good luck

Mileage means fuck all. My 'mint' 40,000 mile engine blew up after I'd driven 2000 miles. My 200,000 mile engine has had one service since 2006 and is still going strong.

to be honest i bet yourl be looking a long time for one below 100k, the youngest N15 almera is 10 years old now......

1.4 and 1.6 is a noticeable difference, but tbh if you got a 1.4 and didnt drive a 1.6 you mind it. 1.4 is acceptable, dont expect to be beating everything off the lights but they are fine on motorways etc, if you want a bit more then obviously get the 1.6, worth the extra wait but a 1.4 isnt a bad car if you cant find a 1.6
