updates on the n14 vvl/ nos/ lsd project

How come your rev limit is 7500 but the graph says 7606?
Good result though for 20ve cams .
 
The rev limit is around 7500, he did rev to 8000 but did not like it.

I know the car has alot more left in her, just being safe.

I told him to wait till i come.

So when I came he said because he has tweeked it abit it should make 195bhp, so first and ony run we stick it on the rollers and it made 196bhp, result.

If I lleave it with him again, he could do more to get it over 200bhp, i.e changing points, limits, but he said he is very happy with it now, as it has instant revs, and is solid along the way.

So lets leave it as that, go out and enjoy it first.

So thats what I will do.
 
New rocker gaskets, colder grade plugs, new wishbones, new drop links.
M.o.t this week, weight measurement this week.
Was looking to get some triple 8's, but too costly right now so will wait until next budget.

Should have the car back for Saturday, then will go Santa pod sun, or next Sat/sun.

Exhaust and header are SR20DE specific that were on the sunny Gti engine before.

So potential to look more into header/ exhaust systems specific for the Sr20VE for even more powerz.
 
lol..No tuner just telling me how to light up tyres before i take the line.
Just playing around really.
He told me for me to get in the 13's will be hard.
Especially with 17's, no slicks.
I would need to launch it well and light the tyres up first.

This is more of a track car really, so will be doing some of them this summer.

Anyway not really done much, just got the car back yesterday.
Decided to trailer it home as I have free recovery, and didn't really want to get my work clothes dirty driving it with my shoes as well..

Anyway the car is filthy so need to do a proper, wash polish hover and tidy up.

Still decided to take it on the road today.

Now the car is rapid off the line, didn't really hammer it but even with lsd and 6k launch lit up both tyres.
But once grip then it flies.

Builied a skyline gts who was scared in his reer view then decided to back off and be sensible so headed back home.

Rev limit is actually 7800rpm.

So thats it really.

I need some 17 drag slicks now for the pod.


other things to do.

Replace one of the fog lights with a cold air feed scoop
Sort out the empty gap where the sunroof used to be as I can't have this plastic sheet forever held down with tape.
Tidy interior and strip more.

Cheers mate^ I thought so, might need to change my whole set up now smaller wheels/ brakes.
But I need to decided what I want the car for drag or track, because right now it's set up to be a track car.

P.s also forgot to add, the vvl engine is so nice and easy to use.

Under 4900rpm, just a normal sr20 not noisey nothing.
Then after 4900rpm, loud as fcuk, all hell breaks loose, love it.:winkiss:

Only down side running one map right now which means super unleaded only.
The car or vvl drinks.
