Okay...massive update.
Finally got the last wheel on after a nut issue.
Went down to my local tyre place.
Got the wheel weights on this time positioned inner within the rim, they said this was all fine.
Got the wheels balanced and also had the wheel alignment for the front.
Have to say after I took the car for a blast the difference is noticable alot, going from 17's and shit tyres to lightweight 16's and toyo t1-r at the front.
Wheel spin has almost elimated and the car stuck to the floor on launch.
Can't wait to go Pod, weather pending next week.
Anyway I have now stripped the car of most of the things i thought were slowing it down.
Stripped the following;
rear cage- sold collection next week
17's comps th2's- sold collection next week
large heavy double din headunit - keeping for next car
rear speakers- keeping incase i sell and need to put interior back in
passenger seat- keeping for now
I can possible also remove the door cars if I have some time later as well.
Every little helps..
Had a good look underneath the car as well, beautiful, underseal baby, looking clean and fresh.
p.s also noticed that i now have holes in the car left from where the bolt in cage was, more underseal on it's way.
The car is mainly dry use only, so shouldn't have a problem with water/ rain getting to it.
My brother in his RX8 and neighbour in his Ford ST are now running scared lol
Now I am hoping to get as close to 13's as possible.
Remember my best so far is 14.83, now with the above stripped and running toyo t1-r i should hope very low 14's or even 13's high which is my aim.
If i don't hit 13's then it's time for the racing compound crossply tyres. yeah Fat wide and sticky...
What time do you think?
Anyway Pictures....
