What to do to it?

Will go for the vented one as it goes with the Autech silly styling.

As for the engine damper, it looks cool as chuff. I'll also get some Nismo engine mounts too as Mr Rowdy said they're good and mine does rock a bit when you rev it :O

Though working it out, it costs £170  - I might buy an S14 one and make some brackets....(idea)

Well it's Coilovers, (Gay) JDM gear knob (lmao) and a few other bits next week, then I MUST get my 2" header and downpipe flexi piece changed and whack that back on.

I liked the look of the gear knob, just not its size, half that size and i'd have had one in a flash (flamesuit on).
Good look getting the bonnet over intact, hear many a horror story about CF getting crushed when shipped.
I still don't know what the hell that engine damper is supposed to do? :O

When you're cars engine is put under revving, or hard revving it will lurch towards the firewall - the engine mount will act like a shock and absorb most of that, which should extend the life of engine mounts etc :)

nismo engine mounts and engine damper will improve the response from throttle pedal. no im not daft, ill explain how i see it. usually when you press the loud pedal theres a degree of shock as benskett said, which gives a fractional hesitation. a near solidly mounted engine wont have that slight hesitation, and should mean that when you press go, you will go instantly. it makes sense to me....

An energy suspension mount on the front will suffice. the one in your autech will be non-existant, mine had literally fallen out. put in an energy suspension one and the engine hardly moves, car shudders on start up and shut down now.

you what? lol, the engine quivering on teh soft mounts is hardly going to hinder the throttle response. just cant see it im afraid.

im keeping my eyes peeled for that bonnet, always loved it ever since i came across that picture!

it does hinder the throttle response, as every time you put your foot down, the engine rolls backward, momentarily not putting power down as it resists turning the wheels

Forget the engine damper. I`m all for more solid engine mounts, but i`ve never made comment on the nismo units.

By the way you can also get that bonnet or the plain one from Trojan-sport.co.uk not sure if there is much price difference between the 2 companies but could be worth a go

Just been on trojan-motorsport. Good to see they have them in but they're bloody exspensive. Those rear lights made me laugh, £1069 for some LED VZR lights and if you want indicators with leds that'll be another £320... bargain!

Ooops, sorry. :O

Thought you used those. Which does everyone recomend then?

Energy?!

yeah most the bits are expensive but i dont know if the price includes getting the parts over here or not as they dont keep them in stock (emailed them about them awhile ago)

Ive got the front and rear energy mounts in and there is no movement in the engine at all, you can't even move the engine yourself, I can rock the car via the engine and still it doesnt move, and those with coilovers will know how hard it is to rock the car. When I get a minute Im probs going to remove the rear ones as the vibrations through the car get tideous after a while

thankyou very much.

i dint mean 'directly' affects throttle response, just aids it.

my mate andy had to use one on his S14 as the fractional twist in the engine was splitting his 'ahem' SSAC turbo manifold...
