Whooped

Not a complete system, i have a CAT back exhaust system from MIJ, using thier 'sports' type backbox (they also do 'race' backboxes), the pipework is about 2 1/2" IIRC.

Also, it was an indicated 60 on the speedo, i went flat out in 2nd and hit the limiter ..so it may be like 58-59mph or something.

i beat a moddified punto last night at a little game of traffic light GP.
it was silver with a massive body kit, bonnet vents and 2 huge exhausts, it even had light up washer jets
i might have had an advantage though as it had 4 lads in it with base ball caps & the windows where down :)

..what do you reckon the additional time should be with a passenger?

well my own guess is about 0.5 seconds extra, so im looking at about 10.2seconds.
Its not bad is it for what it is? Maybe with a good launch i'll get into the 9's.
really want to get back on that college RR!

lol..
I was lucky enough to use it as it as the RR data was needed for some college work!
Im trying to persuade them to let me use it again, to set up my car and the apexi SAFC when its turbocharged.
We need to do some RR tuning so im trying to convince him this is an ideal opportunity for everyone.

I have a new addition to my list.. Honda civic 1.4 GL (old boxy shape) 90bhp as standard, my car happily keeps up with this and again it was lightly modded, exhaust and air filter.

They`re just to heavy....but very easily/cheaply chipped.

The later Cupra R has a power/weight ratio of 160 bhp per tonne, so would probably explain why a mildly modded GTI with say 135 - 140 bhp per tonne would be able to keep up. The gap closes further if it was the 210 Cupra R, with 152 bhp per tonne.

I must admit I'm quite tempted by a Cupra R as my next car, but am yet to test drive one or be driven in one - anyone care to share any experiences?

UPDATE for my chav type thread, Sunday night madness in the turbo 'mera.
Just a couple to add to my list: (both rolling starts in 2nd gear)

MK1 Golf GTI -buh bye
BMW E36, 6 cylinder (debadged, could have been a 325 or 328) - level until three figure speeds, i should have ad' him though, just couldnt get traction in 2nd or 3rd in the wet.

My night was cut short when i was just about to have a go with a scoobie, after teasing him into a race, i blew a boost pipe off in 2nd gear. Maybe next week eh?

Do i get a certificate?

Havent been up there since November time. Maybe when it warms up again i might show me face and have a little convoy down there with my mates S3,VR6 and a clio 16v.

i beat a porche boxter the other night in the lude. I knew the road very well and it was nice and twistie which the lude likes. Boxters are pretty shit also but are 4wd guess i knew the road beter

next mod is a big sticker in the back that says "Mine cost £500 whats your excuse"

They're all Mid-engined rear drive, and IMO far from shit, but the non "S" versions will be pretty slow compared to a turbo Prelude, yeah. In fact remembering that topic you made, the S versions probably are too...
