Wraith's N16 Almera Sport

....there seems to be a lot of space around it in my engine bay compared to my 1.5 .....

It does look a bit lost alright but that could partly be down to the fact that you've got the wrong battery in it? I replaced mine with the proper one when I got it because the guy who had it before had some cheap one in it, it should be big enough to fill the tray that it sits in.

BTW; your engine bay is spotless, puts me to shame!!!

Sounds like you've got some great plans for it mate :thumb: Sebring box looks good, and yeah a vid would be nice to hear what it sounds like :)

No vids yet but got some pics of my debadged and newly exhausted backside.. well, my car's anyway.
First day of the year the weather has been good enough for a full wash, polish and wax too so it's gleaming.

Click pics to bigify.

I have GOT to get this thing on coilovers ASAP.

Looking really nice mate

the black detailing works well with the colour of the car.

yip coilovers would finish it off nicely

Fully debadged the back end, swapped rear wiper for 2004 model and lightly tinted the taillights.
Quite like the taillights matt but would probably look better with a couple of coats of clearcoat and a good polish.

Gratuitous interior shot because I'm surprised how clean I've kept it :)

Next on the list (apart form the K-Sport coilovers when the group buy is sussed-out) is a set of these corner splitters and some tasteful sills to widen things up a bit at the bottom without adding too much weight or things that will scrape on the ground once it's lowered (especially on those horrible 3ft wide speed bumps that are cropping up all over around here). I'll probably leave it a while after that, save some cash, fix all the rust and then get a respray, maybe colour-coding the bump strips while I'm at it.

Not sure what colour to go for, I like this colour but it's impossible to touch-up and so I fancy a change to a basic, non-metallic colour like black, red or blue though if I decide to add a more extreme bodykit I'm tempted to go for the classic Nissan racing colours of red and silver.

Lots of time to decide as it will take a good while to save the readies for a full respray.

noooooooooooooooooo not the corner splitters dude!

very lightly t cut the lights and then polish them to get rid of the matt.

lol, what's wrong with the corner splitters tommo? I can't find a full splitter that looks really good on an N16 to me.

Will give the t-cut a go but it's very matt so may need a lot of t-cutting and will likely make the tint another couple of shades lighter. May just take off the polish that's on it and add another coat or two then do the t-cut thang.

dude i really really really dont mean to offend, but the RGM corner splitters look horrible fitted, on any car ive sen with them on, your best bet is similar to ed k, find something subtle yet different and retro fit that, the corner splitters look completely billy bolt on, must be something in a scrap yard that will fit nicely?

as for the lights a few more coats will do nicely, do it in the warm weather, then allow to dry, quick t cut and get a couple of layers of polish on and she will be sweet. same process i used: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v312/titfer/newcar/IMG_0349.jpg ...

Warm weather? You are aware I live in Scotland?

No offense taken, I wondered if they would look a bit bolted on. Ah well, need to find something that will fit, just didn't want to end up having to use filler so guess I'll have to hunt long and hard.

Some good food for thought. Not too keen on the green bumper though, sadly. There just don't seem to be any bumpers for N16 I really like.

I'm in the group buy for k-sport coilovers so it's going to be slammed in a few months, I'll wait until then before I think about any body work and checked clearance with the multitude of species of speedbump around here.

P'bably should not spend any more money on the car until the wedding is sorted out anyway.

Yeah we're not blessed with loads of bodykit options as N16 owners :/

I know but atleast there are some decent ones compaired to the N15. I don't think there are many good looking ones for the N15. only one that looks good is the autech or stock GTi one.
