well I did a lots of driving this weekend, Bristol - Derby - Castleford - Derby - Bristol
brimmed the tank with Vpower and reset the odometer on the fourcourt in bristol and off I went,

back on my drive 705km (438miles) later on a full tank going to brim the tank again later to find out how much fuel I actually used.

was all done with a full set of GTi wheels another interior and some seat in the back... so could better it with an empty car w00p

Thats some going i think i got about 380-400 when i filled the car once heading on a long trip but usually its around the 32mpg mark.

That is impressive, most ive managed was about 380 before I limped it to the next garage i found

its probably the lowest on fuel its ever been atm, need to get some fresh petrol in it


*got 49 litres of petrol in the tank to brim it works out around 40mpg

Took the rocker cover off earlier to have a little nose underneath.......... boy am I happy

also fitted a 300zx fuel filter (can just see it hiding in the top pic) but it started to burn quite alot of fuel was pretty smokey out the back
so have disconnected the battery which should in-turn reset the ecu, hopefully this will make it a bit better, if not back to the ol standard one.....

Nice clean engine. Thats had lots of good quality oil changes by the looks of it. Have you tried fitting a GTi MAF housing yet? Those older cast ones look so tiny.

you would think so wouldnt you, a lot of sludge came out when I changed the oil the first time though its due another change soon have got a new nissan filter and a magnetic sump plug just need some oil, Im thinking Millers XSS 10-40w this time...

Yeah I did try the GTi maf but the car wouldnt idle without some throttle, I need to get hold of an intake hose because there were some obvious vacuum leaks might idle properly with them sorted.....
