Autech GTi

Did you try the Autech MAF sensor in the GTi housing?.......if it fitted. Millers oils are good and 10w-40 would be fine.....dont go straight from a mineral to a full synthetic oil though. EDIT just found its a semi syn. ;)

well a random noise appeared from my engine on the way back from JAE fearing the worst (rod knock) went to a garage for a tinker, decided on it being something to do with the hydraulic lifters so set about removing them and bleeding them.

HEL braided lines, 5.1 fluid and some FTO calipers :D

going to put some miles on them then go get them bled again still a bit squidgy atm

Nice upgrade on the brakes, good work.

Can you do another video please of the engine noise?

You say theres a knocking noise too?

the video doesnt capture the noise well at all really, Im told the Autech heads are generally quite tappy due to the cams and valvetrain used...

these are the videos I have so far

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3CC00JT0po"]YouTube - SR20DE Knock?[/ame]

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0Qd1quSZBw"]YouTube - SR20DE Knock 2[/ame]

does the knocking go off when you put it under full load sam?

it quietens down when the revs go past where Im holding it in the videos someone mentioned chain slap and I can imagine it being that.....

steve - the rockers were fine there was only some scoring on the one rocker/lobe just wear marks on the others.....
