Eddie's SRi

This is a power drain exhaust

dsc00772xk.jpg

top ends been rubbed off, but ive got some nice 1500-2000 torque boost

Might be abit much for a GA, but we will see GA tuning isnt such an explored field remember. And besides wont be GA forever so buying this up was good futureproofing as itl be enough for even a moderatly built SR20DE/VE

corbs fitted a 2.5 and it drained power noticably. that field HAS been explored. might have even been a 2.25

No...the stock is a 'power restricting exhaust' your 2.5" is a 'power drain exhaust'...you should never go bigger than 2 and 1/4 inch ever on a n/a 1.6 litre, proven stuff.

Where on earth have you gotten this info from? Proven where? Im fairly sure if you had a 1600 N/A making say 200bhp, then a 2.5in system would be beneficial. Half the time you lot cant see the wood for the trees, its a 1600 engine, the theory is the same, just because its design is "GA" doesnt mean it wont respond the same as any other 1600. What you're also effectively saying is the GA14 should never go more than 2"

I might have mentioned I was specific for the GA engine. That should answer all your questions.

Late arrival from Santa

Picking up some solder in abit, then will attatch Jdm 4 prong/locking light holder to the wiring loom :D

Deglobed em too :)

put the interior in yet dude?

Nt yett, needs abit of fettling... rails on seats are not interchangeable & bolts m6 instead of m8 etc

I noticed one chair is missing a plastic cover.. u never told me that :( .. im hoping a ph1 almera at the scrappies would fit

Just about to get some stuff to relocate my battery & tray to the boot :D

Although the rest of the engine was completely stock, unsure if the mods eddie has might make it right.

Will seee, one thing everone forgets usually on the GA exhaust tunning wise is the balljoint between the manifold and the downpipe.. which was put there instead of a flexi section

u055100box.jpg

Now the balljoint pipe is 2'' diamiter but the actuall bal joint has an internal diamiter of 1.25'' .. so in effect its kinda funny spending £100 on a performence manifold.. exhaust etc when we have a massive bottleneck of 1.25'' on the balljoint itself

frontpipe.jpg

Now me and Ross are looking at getting the above pipe made in 2''

Our Obx

Has final pipe id of 1.75''

OBX manifolds are great quality with cast mandrel bends etc.. but suddening having to be forced through a 1.25'' balljoint cant be good..

So a new 2 flange will be rewelded onto the manifold to allow direct coupling.. and a custom 2'' downpipe with a flexi section will be made up.

Ill do that ready for 2010 Season... Liam its gona be fun ;)

I may have that piece of plastic in bristol somewhere...

Ayee cheers man, how does one go about getting the rear bench to fit as its got hooped flange instead of bolt holes? Ive seen craigs ghetto mod for getting his GTIR bench in im guessing ive gotta do the same or is there another solution?

Regards

pretty much it wont fit unless you drill holes and fit the plastic catches

eddie, the pattern on the autech one is worse than the GTi :P i thought you meant the subtle grey vzr colours for some reason. but your choice
