Hello

As I said, if there was anything wrong with the transponder, the key reader or the key chip the ECU light would flash. It's nothing to do with why it will not fire. It's something you have done when you removed the push button.

Here i am thinking i bought a tidy car and it wont start on the key after taking off the push start, was it on for this reason, why doe's it start intermittently on the key? and why doe's the 10 amp fuse keep blowing as soon as i turn the ignition on.
After looking through old mot's i reckon this had an electrical problem often failing on number plate lights' and rear light's not working.
Look's like a day off work for me to try and sort it!!!

Tried again this morning still nothing its as if the push button was put on because of the original said problem. All light's on dash work as they should it's seems to me no power is getting to the starter motor from the ignition switch.
I removed the button as i'm trying to eliminate as to why the tail light fuse keep's blowing. well it's got me stumped!

And are the ignition switch or switches the blue block thingy's in the interior fuse panel.
Also how do u tell if they are faulty as they sound ok with them clicking when i turn the key to start.

The wires from the ignition will switch the relay (blue block thing) and that in turn switches the starter motor circuit on. The starter circuit is a high power system so it is isolated from the cabin so that you don't have big amp cables running everywhere. If you can trace the switching wires back to the correct relay you can then check that. It sounds as if there is a short somewhere along the line. If you have another relay to swap in then do that as its easy to bridge a relay if you have to get yourself out of trouble. Do that and see how you get on. You need a circuit tester really if you're going to have a go yourself.

Do you what chap's i have never ever been on a forum that is as helpful and dedicated as this, thank's everyone for your help.
Well i put the push starter back on and as for the 10 amp fuse blowing constant i removed the stereo and problem solved! thank's to this forum again.
I don't mind the push starter i just want to get rid of, it's pointless but as i found out it's there for the key starter not working. Can i continue to use the button without any problems in the future and i more thing the factory alarm has been disconnected as it's fooked just keeps going off and on even when driving would this effect the key fob central locking as my fobs work but trying to program them don't work and im nipping down car spares to try the relay. thank's spook!:)

By the sounds I it your stereo must be wired into the start live and not the IGN on. Get it sorted before something sets on fire.

I have its disconnected completely funny Thing is its does have the right connection blocks. For this car and since its disconnected the fuse has stopped blowing don't think thats strange.
