thanks, the more i think about it im not sure what way to go about finishing it off.

i was originally planning on isopon to smooth/blend it into the arch but now im thinking of getting a plate welded on with a similar idea of bolt on arch extensions to have a more smooth oem look, rather than a shit load of filler.

also need a way of blending it into the back bumper, im planing on a separate piece on the bumper itself which means i can still take it off if required.

You can get millions of different width arches from 10mm-100mm...

Should have cut away the offending arch lip and put the extensions over it....

Fair play for trying something but you really should have given it more thought.
 
I cant wait to see how it turns out. Must admit, looks a mess at the min, but fibreglass an filler can work wonders in the right hands. She wil be class when its done.
 
ok so im starting to think ive bitten off more than i could chew. ill hold my hands up and admit that now! i spent money on the welding only to realize im no better of right now as i havnt made any additional arch clearance for the wheel to move up into the arch gap, the passenger side is still scrubbing on the smallest of bumps and thats with only me in the car. i might need to get the hammer out, or raise it up a tad, which i dont want to do. ive rushed into it and not taken much into consideration.

ive decided to go with arch extensions. ive trimmed off what i dont need on the arch lip that i had welded back up. extensions should be here next week, along with a set of autech skirts off the autech tuned nissan pulsar.

this is what it should look like in the end, only red.

only problem with using the arch extensions is that i might have to use wheel spacers, however, i might be able to put the 9" steels onto the front and send the 8" steels off to get banded again 10" maybe :D either way some arch work will be required to stop the tyres from rubbing on the arch
 
Get the arch extensions you want in hand before you do any more permenant things to your car lol!

Quite cool though.. cruzze through town slice a few chavs enroute :chuckle:
 
Just cut the arches out to the top of the extensions, should gain an extra inch or so of arch clearance :)
 
dont tempt me, ive been toying with getting the grinder out again and cutting the arch and making the side level to that of the top inside
 
arch extensions arrived on wednesday, autech skirts today... someone is a happy bunny, will be happier IF the aul doll passes MOT next saturday.
 
saturday 21st at 8pm. my thoughts are that if i bung it through at that time she will pass as the examiner will want to get home and stick his feet up and wont give a flying fuck what he is looking at... and he wont want to touch much of it anyway as it is covered in underseal lol
 
lol. Thats the best way.. Cover it up, and see if they pick up on it. My honest question to u, and is (i hope) followed up by an honest answer.. "When you get the car home, and it (hopefulyl) passes the MOT, are you going to fix the issues (IE Hole in the sill, whichi will inevitably Rot to nothing (as i am well aware of lol).............
 
depending on what it fails on, if if fails on major costly things then i am going to consider reshelling.... but thats a very very last resort.

if its gonna be cheap to fix then i am going to replace the rear sill and see whats going on in the passenger side under the drivers seat
 
Just head down south bucko buy yourself a decent pulsar shell, you might nearly get one free if the rumour about getting the VRT refund is true when exporting a car.

if i could get a pulsar shell for free (or close to) id be jumping at the chance. Fuck all the work involved lol.. Least with a bare shell, you can make it proper mint before putting the engine etc in
