on the nearside arch liner there is a surface at the front that is about 45º to the ground, thats where i put mine and i'd suggest that's where to put yours

Not much but i finally got round to removing the resonator box, and never had to take a wheel off or bumper Just one screw and 3 clicps from the arch liner and just pushed it back and removed the resonator box now i just need a cold air feed

the tyre you can see in the pic is the front of the passenger side wheel, look up under the bumper where the passenger fog light is and you'll see the surface that's 45° to the ground, that's where I put it as that's directly under the hole in the inner wing so the piping has an easy route

Harry did you pop the liner out to cut the hole for the pipe ?

nah i just marked it up and cut it in place with a pad saw fitted with a hacksaw blade, no need to remove it, plus with it fitted it retains some rigidity and makes cutting accurately easier

Once the resonator's out of the way, there's plenty of room to get the cold air feed in & attach it securely

Hey guys quick question

Not sure if il do this or not but was just a though, but you know the black strips that go along the side of the car, would it be possible to have them removed or are they vital to the car. And if they are possible to remove would i have to use filler to fill in the remaining hole to make it all flush then get it painted ?

Just wondering as i saw it on someone's mera here but wasn't sure if there's a model that comes without the side strips or if they have pulled there's off.

There are indents in the metal and holes to locate the bump strips. So yes you would have to get them filled somehow if you were to remove them.

Cheers ed, how big a intent would you say there is 4mm or more?

Sorry, predictive text changed 'indent' to 'intent'.

The indent is about 5mm deep. I couldn't guess what the best way to fill it would be though.

aw ok. yea not too sure, maybe some of that modeling foam or what ever it is glued then fibre glassed over and filled. just an idea for now, not sure if ill go ahead with it might do as need my rear quater painted and my mates doin it so might see if he'd help with that.

Id get plates welded over. Try to use as little filler as you can.

I was thinking expanding foam, shape it then fiberglass and fill. but that's sounds half decent idea too
