Mov's Micra

Alloys - getting new ones
Cams - don't need em for next set up
Exhaust - going 3"
Seats - Going to a better car ;)
Bumper/grille - standard

The thing to think about Mov is..

Is the car going to be for street satisfaction or track/ 1/4 mile competition satisfaction?

If it was just for pure street etc, go turbo.

However if you want to competition it then go n/a.

You have more chance staying in n/a mode of beating records.

If you start turbo and think you will remain low boost your wrong.
Didn't dbull run 12's in his Sr20de+t Micra needing around 320bhp+?

Anyway turbo will be funny, but from my experience running fwd turbo conversion, yes fun, but I love n/a more.
I can rag the nuts off it without worry.

In the 6 months I have had my Sr20ve running nothing has gone wrong (touch wood).
Around 2/3 issues were had during the same period running the turbo.

Get a ve head on there.

You have a fwd turbo primera already.

It's your choice.

But the n/a fwd competition will be hot next year.

Either way good luck in your decision.

i think he just wants a hike in power without having to spend ALOT of money.

whatever application i say turbo, doesnt have to be built to aim for specific 1/4 mile times

A hike in power is pretty much what we're aiming for. We've got too many 'builds' amongst us to go forking out for a ££££ n/a build!

Besides 1/4 mile aint the end of the world, not mentioning the fact this is AOC, so a micra don't count.. nor sunny's though i am anticipating an award?

Its all about the N/A fury's and powershifting like a boss while screaming VVTTEEEEECCC!!!!!.

Youre right about having nothing to worry if i go n/a... but low boost set up done right shouldnt cause too many problems.

Power is what i want... as for competition no point, iv got a micra not a almera. So weather i get the best time or not its irrelevant and 1/4mile/drag i only do it for fun and dont really take it seriously.

Is that the same engine in the mera now?

Yes and no...

I kept the upper section of the engine, i.e. cylinder head, camshafts, intake manifold etc.

I changed the block, crank, bolts / studs, bearings, VE oil pump, turbo charger, injectors, forged pistons (lower compression), exhaust, wastegate.

Peak power in the Micra was 409 BHP (4th gear), where as the Almera is 453 WHP (5th gear).

12.18 @ 126.8 mph vs 11.94 @ 129.7 mph...just shows the difference in weight between the two cars!!!

Yeah, it would be a riot!

I had planned to head down to buy that K10 Micra today, but it has been sold already!

Oh well!

Don't waste another almera..

Nah, as much as it would be a laugh, it would also mean being off the road for even longer.

If I was too build another Micra, in this case a K10, it would need to be a complete sleeper, i.e. steel wheels, stock looking body, stock exhaust system (albeit with a 4" diverter), full interior etc etc.

Awesome, yes, but would it always be compared to Little Bandit?

Probably!

Nah, so sticking with the Almera for the mean time!

Paid a vist to Unique Exhaust in stafford for a 3" Mandrel bent Exhaust

Had few backboxes available to fit

Super Dragger -
Fuji Gike -
5zigen -
Blitz Nur Spec -

All of them where too big for the micra, the blitz was the only one that would fit but would stick out slightly.

The plus side is the brand name would be view able lol...

Took ages to customise the blitz back box, no room cause of the whiteline gear.
