I would remove the plastic resonator and fix the FPR to this bracket.

ok so little update preped the new grill and fitted it and here is how it looks.

i.jelly was selling it so i grabbed it gotta fix it tho the top left clip arm is broke so its held by a cable tie atm
 
Ha thats my old one off my black SRi! I wondered who outbid me. The trick is not to tighten the cable tie too much.
 
yeah the one that is on there the now is a bit tight lol.

gonna try and see if i can make it a bit more stable, i think it suits the car and sets the front of nicely
 
ok saw car today and there is to much damage to repair the car so this is the end of this gti thread

yeah im going to be getting the car back it is being delivered tommorrow and the plan is to rip everything that is good off her and see what i've got.

now knowing the way we all work in here vultures sit down and wait lol
 
Willie, what are your plans with the performance parts on it? Are you stripping it and keeping the bits for a new GTi?
